Adhesives enable the permanent or temporary bonding of different materials. They are used in industry, skilled trades, production, and assembly, and offer an alternative to screws, rivets, or welded joints.
One-component adhesives are ready to use and cure through environmental influences such as humidity or temperature. Two-component adhesives consist of a resin and a hardener, which are mixed before application and can achieve particularly high bond strengths.
Anaerobic adhesives cure in the absence of air between metal surfaces. They are commonly used for threadlocking, thread sealing, flange sealing, and retaining bearings.
Contact adhesives are applied to both surfaces to be bonded. After a short flash-off time, the materials are joined together and bond immediately with high initial strength.
