Two-component MS polymer adhesive
Two-component MS polymer adhesives are the ideal choice for applications requiring permanent and highly durable bonds. These modern adhesives are based on silane-modified polymers (MS polymers), which provide an excellent combination of flexibility and strength. The use of a two-component system significantly reduces the curing time, enabling fast and efficient production processes.

Information on two-component MS polymer adhesives
A two-component MS polymer adhesive is a two-component adhesive and sealant based on silane-modified polymers. It consists of two components that are mixed before or during application and subsequently cure in a controlled manner.
“2K” stands for “two-component.” The adhesive consists of two separate components that react with each other. As a result, the adhesive cures more reliably and quickly than many one-component systems, particularly in thicker adhesive layers or between non-porous materials.
Two-component MS polymer adhesives are suitable for flexible, permanent, and durable bonds. They are commonly used in vehicle manufacturing, metal construction, mechanical engineering, interior finishing, façade construction, rail vehicle manufacturing, boat building, and assembly work.
Depending on the product, materials such as metals, aluminium, stainless steel, steel, glass, ceramic, wood, concrete, stone, GRP, painted surfaces, powder-coated components, and many plastics can be bonded. Adhesion to PE, PP, PTFE, and silicone is generally difficult and should be tested in advance.
One-component MS polymer adhesives cure primarily through atmospheric moisture. Two-component MS polymer adhesives cure through a reaction between the two components, making them less dependent on atmospheric moisture, adhesive layer thickness, and component geometry.
A two-component MS polymer adhesive is particularly useful when fast, controlled, and flexible curing is required. It is well suited for larger bonding surfaces, thicker adhesive layers, non-porous substrates, or applications where a one-component adhesive would cure too slowly.
