Information on glue dots / adhesive dots
Glue dots, also known as adhesive dots, are small, dot-shaped adhesive pads or points. They enable quick, clean, and easy bonding without liquid adhesive, screws, or tools.
Glue dots are suitable for fixing, mounting, decorating, packaging, and display applications. They are commonly used in retail, advertising, shipping, craft projects, exhibition stand construction, or for product samples, displays, cards, brochures, and lightweight components.
Depending on the product, adhesive dots adhere to materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, metal, wood, films, or painted surfaces. For reliable adhesion, the surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from dust and grease.
Depending on the product, glue dots are available in both permanent and removable versions. Permanent adhesive dots are suitable for long-term fixing, while removable adhesive dots are ideal for temporary applications, presentations, or attaching samples.
Adhesive dots are ready for immediate use, clean to apply, and require no drying time. They do not run or drip and can be positioned precisely. This makes them particularly suitable for quick bonding, packaging, decorations, and series applications.
The surface should be clean and dry. The adhesive dot is transferred directly from the roll, sheet, or backing paper to the required position, after which the second material is pressed into place. For good adhesion, the dot should be in full contact with both surfaces.
