PET film adhesive tapes
Our double-sided PET film adhesive tape has been specially developed for demanding industrial applications. Thanks to its high initial adhesion, it enables reliable and efficient processing during assembly. The combination of excellent tensile and shear strength and very high final adhesive strength ensures permanently resilient bonds – even under demanding conditions. The high-performance assembly tape on a PET backing impresses with its high temperature resistance, dimensional stability and reliable adhesion to a wide variety of materials such as metal, plastic or painted surfaces. This makes it ideal for applications with high quality and safety requirements. The PET adhesive tape is used in vehicle construction, the electrical sector, ship and rail vehicle construction, and in mechanical and apparatus engineering, among other areas. Wherever strong, durable and precise bonding is required, our PET film adhesive tape offers the optimal solution for industrial assembly processes.

Information on PET film adhesive tape

Double-sided PET film adhesive tape is a technical adhesive tape with a thin, stable PET film backing coated with adhesive on both sides. It is used to bond materials cleanly, evenly, and permanently.

Double-sided PET film adhesive tape is suitable for mounting, fixing, laminating, and bonding applications in industry, skilled trades, advertising, electronics, automotive engineering, and interior construction. Typical applications include attaching signs, panels, films, displays, profiles, trims, decorative elements, or lightweight components.

Depending on the product, it adheres to materials such as metal, plastic, glass, painted surfaces, films, wood, ceramic, or smooth composite materials. For reliable adhesion, the bonding surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from dust and grease.

The PET film backing provides high dimensional stability, good tear resistance, and even adhesive distribution. This makes the tape particularly suitable for precise bonding, thin adhesive joints, and applications requiring a clean and dimensionally stable connection.

Depending on the adhesive system, many double-sided PET film adhesive tapes offer good resistance to temperature, ageing, and moisture. However, the exact level of resistance depends on the specific product. For demanding applications, the tape’s technical specifications should be observed.

The surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and dried before bonding. The tape is applied to one surface and pressed down firmly. The release liner is then removed, and the second material is positioned accurately and also pressed down firmly. Depending on the product, the tape may take some time to reach its full adhesive strength.
