Double-sided non-woven paper adhesive tape is a technical adhesive tape with a thin, flexible non-woven paper backing coated with adhesive on both sides. It is used to bond two materials cleanly, evenly, and discreetly.
Double-sided non-woven paper adhesive tape is suitable for mounting, laminating, craft, printing, and processing applications. Typical uses include bonding paper, cardboard, films, foams, textiles, displays, signs, samples, decorations, or lightweight components.
Depending on the product, it adheres to materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic, film, metal, glass, wood, foam, textiles, or painted surfaces. For reliable adhesion, the bonding surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from dust and grease.
The non-woven paper backing makes the tape thin, flexible, and highly adaptable. This makes it particularly suitable for large-area bonding, lightweight materials, and applications where a discreet adhesive joint is required.
Depending on the adhesive system, double-sided non-woven paper adhesive tape is suitable for temporary or permanent bonding. Its load-bearing capacity depends on the surface, application pressure, temperature, moisture, and subsequent stress. For heavy or highly stressed components, a stronger mounting or high-performance adhesive tape should be selected.
The surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and dried before bonding. The tape is applied to one surface and pressed down firmly. The release liner is then removed, and the second material is positioned accurately and also pressed down firmly. Depending on the product, the tape may take some time to reach its full adhesive strength.
